Sunia Yoga was founded in 2018 by American entrepreneur of South Indian descent, Suni Gargaro.
Inspired by her childhood memories of Kerala, South India, her lifelong yoga practice, and her background in Bharatanatyam, Suni created Sunia to bring the beauty, color, and spirit of India into modern activewear.
A yogi for more than 17 years and a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance, Suni believes yoga is more than a physical practice. It is about connection, intention, balance, and coming back to yourself. Our original designs are inspired by Indian culture and the philosophy of yoga, with many pieces featuring unique Sanskrit names connected to the meaning behind each design. From bold, expressive patterns to thoughtfully selected fabrics, we create activewear designed to move with you on the mat, in the gym, or wherever life takes you. We are also committed to making more conscious choices through responsible manufacturing, eco-conscious printing, and recycled fabrics.
